Guardian Programs

This page is dedicated to our absolutely incredible Guardian Families!! We are so thankful for them! 🙂

Over here at Full Moon Frenchies LLC, we treat our dogs in our program as precious family members. We are not a kennel here and allow our dogs to be in a complete family environment inside of our home. At times, we may come across an incredible pick of the litter puppy or one that we purchased that we know will be amazing for our program, and we want that puppy to have as much attention as possible and will look for a guardian home for them. And rather than you purchasing this puppy outright, we would offer the pup at a reduced or at no cost to you with the exception that Full Moon Frenchies will retain ALL breeding rights of the puppy. Once the pup hits a certain age or has so many litters, they will become retired and the dog will be spayed/neutured at our expense and all ownership will be transferred over to the guardian. If this is something that you or your family may be interested in, please continue reading and see if you meet the requirements as a Guardian Home for one of our lovely little ones! 🙂

Please Keep In Mind:

If having to be away from the dog for a week or less will cause you to be stressed, this is not for you.

If you want to be a breeder and be involved in the breedings  and have opinions on when/how and to whom, this is not for you.

If you cannot be flexible and cannot handle a change in plans or a last minute pick up or drop off, then this is not for you.

A Guardian Home is not for everyone. You MUST be willing and able to follow these requirements, and if you can meet those requirements, then click on the link below and fill out the application:

Guardian Home Questions:

What Guidelines Do I Have To Follow When Raising The Puppy Or Dog?

Guardian approved families will have a contact agreement to follow by. We make sure everything is safe and covered for us the breeder and you, the guardian. And most importantly, the puppy! Full Moon Frenchies wants to make sure that you feel super secure in being a guardian home for one of our puppies and know that you have rights that are protected too!

At What Age Does Full Moon Frenchies Start Its Breeding?

We will usually breed our French Bulldogs on their second or third heat cycle. All females are different and very unpredictable. That is why its so important we are notified of their heats and make the decision based off of there cycle, age, health at the time and maturity level. And with French Bulldogs, we must perform progesterone testing early on in their heat cycle. French Bulldogs typically start their first heat cycle between 8 months-12 months of age.

How Long Will A Female Be At Full Moon Frenchies?

As soon as the Guardian family is aware the dog is in heat, we will have them arrange to bring the dog to us by day 6-7 of the heat cycle. She will remain with us for about 1-2 weeks depending on her progesterone levels and when breeding can take place. Once breeding is completed, she will be able to be picked up and taken back home. If you are unable to transport her to us, there will be a $100 fee for a transporter.

How Long Is A Dog Pregnant For?

Dogs are pregnant for 63 days.

How Long Is She With You When She Has The Litter?

Around 50-55 days she will come to us and during that time, she will have an X-Ray done to determine the size of her litter and to get a C-Section scheduled. She will stay with us from that time until puppies are full weaned. So for about 9 weeks in total. This is such a perfect time for her to get acquainted to her whelping box.
